Dream Builders was founded in 2006 and licensed in the state of Virginia as a Class A builder for commercial and residential construction. About the Owner – Nick Covert
Graduating in 2001 from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Science is where it all started to take shape. In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Nick found a connection to nature and realized he wanted to work in a field where he could be outdoors. Being an active person, construction seemed to be a good path to start his career. The first position he held was as a roofing installer for a small business for about one year. His next employment opportunity came as a carpenter’s apprentice for a Dutch Master Carpenter named Rick Vanbrugen. It was here where Nick’s love for construction was born. As an apprentice, Nick was taught everything from sweeping to complex rafter cuts/layouts. The lure of a hard day’s work and the pride that comes from seeing something from initial design phase through the building process keeps Nick eager to help with your outdoor project.
On the personal side…
All of Nick’s accomplishments have been made possible through the love and support of his wife Megan, two children, and family dog Gracie. Megan has served the Stafford County public school system for over 15 years. Raising their young children has always been top priority and being good role models at home is just the beginning. Outside of work/school, the family enjoys camping, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, skiing, and spending time at the lake.
